My former colleague, now friend Dan Albaum and I had a recent conversation about 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 – 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗜-𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱.

On Tuesday we shared the 1st excerpt about Curiosity and a Growth Mindset, and today, we share a clip about 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 when we want to achieve the greatest sorts of wins. 🌐💡👥🤝

We hope that each of the clips from our conversation will inspire reflection and consideration for what these topics may mean for you as a leader of teams, and/or in the world at large.

𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽, 𝗜 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀. 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. And while I leverage the example of a sport that I know relatively well, I’m sure that even if you root for a team playing a different type of football (or basketball or cricket or rugby, etc…), you’ll get the point. ⚽️🏀🏈🏉🏏

𝗜𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀, 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝗻!

𝗣𝗦: 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭, the FIRST thing I intuitively did (maybe it was something I learned over the years in global corporations) was access the strengths of my individual family members to help me network, ask all the questions, gather info and capture data. It was a HUGELY helpful exercise that gave me so much information, understanding and innovation that 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲, 𝗮𝘀 𝗜 𝗪𝗢𝗡 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲! 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲!
