Those jagged layers? Perhaps theyโve taught you resilience.ย
The smooth ones? Maybe theyโve reminded you to celebrate the wins. (I hope so!)
For example, few knew that I used to worry constantly about being an organic thinker in a sea of engineers. Complex technical concepts didnโt come easily to meโI had to listen, learn, observe, and piece things together from a wide variety of sources until I reached my own โahaโ moments.
As a long-time product and solutions marketer in the tech world (former life), I felt uncomfortable sharing my work in public until I could tie all those disparate pieces into a meaningful story. It took timeโand it was uncomfortable not understanding it allโbut over the years, I started to value this unique style. That very discomfort is what set me apart when it was time to tell the big story to large groups of people.
My inner 'organic thinker' style is part of my unique and creative, story-telling, growth-minded, leadership approach.
